We have a new & exciting opportunity available. There are multiple job roles and vacancies available for a food production company based in Leicester with transport from Corby, Kettering & potentially Market Harborough.

🦺Roles available:
-Machine Operative
-Packing Operative
-Palletisation Operative
-Compression Popping Operative
-Warehouse Operative

💼Job details:
-Easy, clean & light work.
- Starting Monday 15th august.
- Transport from Kettering and Corby (Potentially Market Harborough).

🕒Shifts:
- 5 days out of 7
- 1 in 3 weekends
- 6am to 6pm Days £9.50
- 6pm to 6am Nights £10.93

🦺Weekend shifts:
- Friday night & Saturday night 6pm-6am
- Saturday day shift & Sunday day shift 6am-6pm.

💸Pay rate:
- Days £9.50
- Nights £10.93

Machine Operative.

-To give instructions / requirements for that day to the Production Operatives.

-To set up the bagging machine to meet the specific customer specifications.

-Immediately attend to machine breakdowns on lines & refer more serious breakdowns to the Engineering department.

-Oversee the lines from multihead weigher through to packing.

-Monitor the quality of the product packaging & packing whilst achieving targets and deadlines.

-Develop an understanding of the remaining lines / be able to offer cover for the line leader in the event of absence.

-Ensure that waste is kept to a minimum & recorded accurately.

-Ensure adequate stocks of line consumables are always maintained.

-Arrange alternative duties for staff when a breakdown occurs.

- General Housekeeping as well as Health & Safety.

-To carry out any other duties as requested by the line leader / shift manager.

Packing Operative.

-To pack products in accordance with customer specifications.

-To develop an understanding of the basic bagging machine requirements.

-Be able to offer cover for the bagging operative where appropriate if required in the event of absence.

-To ensure that the quality of the pack meets the required compliance standards.

-To ensure that the outer case labels are visible where appropriate.

- General Housekeeping as well as Health & Safety.

-To carry out any other duties as requested by the line leader / shift manager, particularly in the event of the machines being out of action.

 

Palletisation Operative.

-To palletise cases in accordance with customer specifications.

-Full understanding of the warehouse palletisation process, stretch wrap machine and access system to effectively complete pallet configuration and completion for storage in readiness for despatch.

-Develop an understanding of the basic packing requirements.

-Be able to offer cover for the bagging operative where appropriate if required in the event of absence.

-Ensure that there is a minimum of 1 palletiser present per 2 lines running at all times.

-Recording live, completed pallets on pallet reconciliation sheets and access system.

-To carry out all defined duties within the agreed timescale and advising the Line Leader of any problems.

- General Housekeeping as well as Health & Safety.

-To carry out any other duties as requested by the line leader / shift manager.

Compression Popping Operative.

-To ensure compliant operation of the Compression Poppers in order to manufacture quality base product that meets the customer’s specific recipe.

-Ensure that the correct materials, recipes & measuring equipment is available

at all times.

-Ensure that each new pallet of raw material is checked for moisture and

documented prior to using each batch.

-Using the correct raw materials and volumes per batch of mix as defined in the associated recipe.

-Safe and compliant operation of the number of Compression Poppers required.

-Ensure that you are present at all times when the line is running or ensure

production is being overseen by a trained cover / Line Leader.

- General Housekeeping as well as Health & Safety.

-To carry out any other duties as requested by the line leader / shift manager Key Main Responsibilities of the Role.

Warehouse Operative.

-To ensure intake of all materials and packaging within the warehouse.

-To issue all materials required to manufacturing to meet the production plan.

-To out load finished goods as requested.

-Unloading of Raw Materials, Pallets and returns from the suppliers.

-Loading Finished Goods, waste and rejected pallets into trailers.

-Replenish Oil, WIP, Boxes, Film, Raw Materials and consumable items to production.

-Maintaining stock rotation and order fulfilment ensuring paperwork for each consignment.

- General Housekeeping as well as Health & Safety.

-Carry out any other duties as requested by the Warehouse Supervisor/Manager.
