Trade Counter Assistant

TRADE COUNTER SALES ASSISTANT REQUIRED

Perm Position

A permanent full-time position has become available with one of our new clients based in Corby.

Job Details :

Hours of work are 8am to 5pm - Monday to Friday, occasional overtime when required.

My client is ideally looking for a candidate with an engineering / hydraulic background, this is preferred but not essential. In house training will be given for the right candidate

Salary dependant on experience – Range £26 to £29k

Full UK Driving License Required

Main duties include :

Providing accurate and professional advice on products including specification, pricing and availability
Generating new customers and sales leads
Following up sales enquiries and quotations
Giving advice to customers on materials and project needs
Working with the Branch Manager and the rest of the team to achieve branch performance targets
Maintaining and developing existing and new customer relationships
Continually developing and updating product knowledge
Ensuring efficient stock ordering procedures
Assisting in the loading / offloading of deliveries
Assisting customers face to face, taking calls and responding to emails
Displaying a flexible, hands-on approach to all aspects of the work
Working as part of a team but also able to work on your own initiative
Ordering parts from suppliers.
Manufacturing hoses. Training provided
Possible deliveries to customers and Site visits to customers.
