Retail Systems Technologist

This role is wide and varied but pivotal to our clients’ business compliance strategy. Hence they are looking for a professional, enthusiastic person who can work in a team environment as well as in a more independent role as required.

📍Location:
Market Harborough.

🕐Shifts:
Monday-Friday.
40 hours per week.

Permanent.

💸Rate of pay:
Starting from £30,000/PA - D.O.E.

💼Duties:
-Liaise with supply sites on all technical aspects.
-Complete due diligence and process forms within strict deadlines.

-Assist with NPD process including:
1.Gathering information for specifications to a high level of detail
2.Inputting information onto retailer Micros-based systems
3.Following the artwork process by liaising with suppliers and notating artwork sign off
4.Organising first productions and getting product to launch

-Customer complaints – investigation, responses, and trending.
-Working with supply sites’ technical departments to ensure full compliance with customer expectations.
-Attending meetings and visits at supplier’s facilities.
-Co-ordination of supply site audits and closing out non-conformances raised.
-To be an active member of the HACCP Team.
-Maintenance of supplier and product risk assessments.

🔎Essential requirements:
-Minimum 2 years experience in a technical or quality role within the food industry.
-Qualifications in HACCP and Food Safety Level 2.
-Qualification or experience in internal auditing.
-Good IT skills, especially MS Excel.
-Excellent communication and organisational skills.
-Ability to work as part of a team that is deadline-driven.
- Business travels to the supplier’s site is a key part of the role (valid passport is a must).

🔎Desirable requirements:
-Working understanding of BRC and retailer standards.
-Experience auditing suppliers.
-HACCP and Food Safety Level 3 qualifications.
